System gets warm..

when I have my monitor turned off after 5min. and hard drive 30min. Why would my system get warm??? When surfing the net the temp on my cooler says 30-32c but when monitor turns off and hard drive shuts down it goes to 33 -34c. :confused:
 
my presumption is that when these things turn off...the computer goes into a power saving situation where everything slows down including the CPU fan and chip set fan, thereby causing a slight increase in heat due to the lack of circulating air. thats my guess...
