for the last 6 months i have been have ramdome system locks, sometimes while browsing sometimes while gaming, sometimes while just having the desktop up. no bsod, just lock-ups that require a reset to fix. while online i will not be able to click on anything, then usualy after just a few seconds even the cursor will lock. i have changed memory and still have the problem. i was figuring it was the drivers, but i just did a fresh install with the latest drivers and while it is not as bad as it was , it is still happening.
my system is :
biostar fxe990
AMD fx8350 with no overclock.
coolermaster silent power pro gold
corsair vengence mem 16gigs 4x4
win 7 pro 64bit
galaxy 660 cg

all drivers arwe the latest releases.
 
i am using a frio cooler and my temps are all low.
i forgot to mention, i am using a 180 gig intel 520 SSD.
 
Hit up the stickied "Basic Troubleshooting Guide." Report back when you've done all those tests.
 
i went into the bios and found that the powernow setting was enabled, i disabled it and havent had the problem since.
