Swiftech Pumps

Hello all, it's been a while. Quick question. I built my PC a couple years ago using a Thermaltake watercooling kit. that came with the chasis. I believe the pump went bad and now I need a replacement. Which Swiftech would you choose?

Swiftech MCP350

Swiftech MCP655

I'm not sure if either of these will connect properly to my system's current components. Just want to make sure they will work prior to purchasing. Thanks guys.

If you get the mcp355,you can get custom tops for it,sp you can use 3/8" or 1/2" barbs for whatever tubing you like.

The 3/8 are the barbs you would want to fit the original 9mm tubing with the Tt.

The Tt fittins are G 1/4 thread - 3/8 tube ID - compression fittings.

On the original system the pump fit directly into the rez. It has been so long since I looked at mine I cannot remember if the rubber gasket that seals the pump into the res can be replaced by a fitting so keep in mind you will have to deal with the pump to rez connection somehow.

Thats a very very low restriction high flow system and so any decent pump will work if you can get the fittings you need. Original pump was either 400 (1.75 gal/min) or 500 liters per hour (2.2 gal/min) depending on how old it is. Head/pressure would not matter much in this instance, its the flow volume you want to look for.

One option would be to find this on sale, http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/Product.aspx?C=1162&ID=1638 exact pump replacement and a pretty cool res upgrade with electronic water level sensor and coolant temp readout. pump is somewhat noisy in my experience but I am using it on a more restrictive heater core rad that might be causing the pump to work much harder than it was designed for (its been ok for 2 months now).

You can buy an exact replacement pump but the kit above is like $15 more and to me it was worth the res and display goodies, Not sure if you can use the display on your case or not.
