Within the next few days I'm going to be ordering my watercooling setup. But I'm still baffled as to what CPU block I should get. From Jab-Tech's site it looks like they are pretty much the same thing, as far as spec's go. But why is the Apogee like half the price of the Storm? Since I don't really know the significance of thermal resistence and pressure drop, can someone tell me which one I will get an overall better performance out of?

Also, could someone tell me which is the best anti-corrosive/non-conductive water additive is the best? I hear MCT-40 is the best water additive to get. Is this correct?

thermal resistance: lower is better.

difference in price: difference in quality, difference is complexity, difference in performance.

get the sorm if you can afford it. it is a better block in every way.

get the apogee if you need to get something cheaper, but open it up and go over the interior metal pins with a wire brush prior to using it. there are more than a few threads and reviews that you should look up to find out the reason why........

I know they are two different things, but isn't the MCT-40 both a non-conductive and an anti-corrosive water additive? On the Danger Den description it says the MCT-40 is non-conductive, prevents algae growth, and prevents galvanic corrosion. So, doesn't it do it all basically?

I'm planning to use distilled water and MCT-40.

MCT 40 is a water replacement. if you use MCT 40, you need enough to totally fill your loop and you don't use any water at all.

Your correct. MCT 40 is not an additive, its a replacement. Adding distilled water to it would make it loose its non-conductiveness.

Touche. So, I would ONLY add MCT-40 to my loop and nothing else? I wouldn't have to add anything else to prevent algae growth or corrosion? And do you think a 32 oz. bottle would be enough to completely fill a loop containing a gpu block, cpu block, BIP III, and a fillport?

Depends on how much tubing along with parts, but no additives are needed for algae because algae only grows in H2O .

Oh yeah, 32oz is pleanty if your not using a res. I use Koolance refill kits in my look, a pouch is 23oz and I had a good fourth of a pouch left with my loop filled.
