Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD3200AAKS 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive -

Foxconn C51XEM2AA- 8EKRS2H AM2 NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard

Foxconn 8600GTS-256 OC 700/2200 GeForce 8600GTS 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16

Rosewill RP600V2-S-SL 600W SLI Ready-ATX12V V2.01

CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ Brisbane 2.5GHz Socket AM2 65W Processor Model

How well will this run the newer games? Its the best I could come up with, I know the intel cpus are much better right now but theyre mad $$$

What's your budget?
What size monitor do you have?
What games do you play?
Those are the only parts you need?

That system's total is $665 - $140MIR. Is your budget $665?

EDIT: Here's an Intel alternative:

$135 - Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 Allendale 2.0GHz
$148 - Foxconn 8600GTS-256 GeForce 8600GTS 256MB ($30 MIR)
$91 - abit IP35-E LGA 775 Intel P35 ($20 MIR)
$80 - Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3320620AS 320GB 7200RPM SATA300 16MB Cache
$66 - G.Skill 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2-800 F2-6400CL5D-2GBNQ
$50 - XClio Goodpower 500W ATX 500W
$30 - Cooler Master RR-CCH-L9U1-GP 92mm Hyper TX2 ($20MIR + $9MIR)
===========
$600 + tax and shipping - $79 MIRs

OC that E4400 to 3.0Ghz or more, and it'll stomp on that AMD build you posted. ;)

I'm not exactly sure I'd recommend for 'new games' a card that is easily outperformed by my ancient x1800xt, but the rest looks good. go for the 8800

If you do go with the GTS, make sure to OC that sucker. It's been shown only OC'd 8600GTS cards can outperform an x1950Pro.

If you don't want OC the card yourself and don't care too much about rebates, I recommend this factory OC'd card instead:
MSI NX8600GTS-T2D256E-OC GeForce 8600GTS 256MB PCI-E Video Card - $150

If you don't watch HD content or care too much about DX10 graphics, then a cheaper DX9 alternative will be this card:
Sapphire 100176L Radeon X1950PRO 256MB PCI-E Video Card - $137

But it doesn't have DX10 but then again, the GTS isn't exactly a very powerful DX10 card either.

If you go with a DX9 card and don't mind OC'ing, the GT is the same card as the PRO, just clocked lower at stock. They can easily be OC'd with ATI Tool:

$113 - Sapphire 100199L Radeon X1950GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP
