After spending quite some time choosing the parts, here is what I've come up with:
http://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/wishlist/PublicWishDetail.asp?WishListNumber=6480467

I'm aiming to build a very good gaming and quiet computer without spending too much money. The list didn't include a graphic card. I'm planning to get an 8800GTS 320MB from somewhere else, hopefully cheaper. I also have an Arctic Freezer 7 HSF.

Will my computer be good enough for gaming, for at least a few years? I also want this computer to be as silent as possible. I leave my current computer on when I sleep, but it's kind of noisy. I was going to get a Lian Li PC-7A, but someone told me this case is just as good, and I like how the I/O ports are on the top.

Is this good to go? There won't be much of a price drop anytime soon right, especially with ATI's upcoming card? Is there any parts that I should change or replace?

Thanks.

Good list but could be improved.

- Ditch that power supply. Go with the cheaper XClio Goodpower 500W PSU for $50. It's a good quality power supply.
- Why did you go with the 1.3 version of the DS3? Go with the 3.3 version for better overclocks.
- Go with this cheaper set of G.Skill RAM. It's still as good as the set you chose but cheaper: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231098
- Go with a SATA DVD burner so you can get better airflow in the case.

Opps, forgot that I changed to a black case.

I think I'll stick with the latency 4 rams, since their only about $15 more.

dont forget to manually set those timings. as abu said, the performance is negligible (~3% improvement, if any).
