I need a new soundsystem, don't have room for 5.1, need to blow roommates 32W set up out of the water. Help, thanks. I've been looking at a lot of Edifier models.
Fits your budget. If you are bass-crazy though and you equate loud thumping bass with higher sound quality, then the klipsch pro-medias are better. you'll still get plenty of bass with the swans though.
Uh. No. The sub is muddy and tuned way too high. It gives an impressive AMOUNT of bass, but no quality to it. Swan is the opposite. Pretty decent quality for the money, but volume-wise, IMO lacking.
I should've mentioned that I listen to heavy industrial/electronic music, so mid-range/bass and
subwoofer "sound accuracy" isn't going to do a whole lot for me (clean production & lack of natural/tonal sounds alot of the time). I paid $80 for the Promedia's, so i feel the sound quality is fairly good. $200? No way.
People should qualify what they want based on the type of music they listen to. Much the same as with headphones. Garbage production or old albums probably need the best sound quality possible. I'm sure the Swan m-10's sound great - everyone on this forum recommends them, and i'll probably consider them for my next set in the future.
