HI!!!

I overclocked my CPU!! Here is my config:

AMD XP Mobile 2500 (1867 Mhz)
Termaltake Pure Power 420W
SLK 97 Heatsink
ABIT NF7-S rev.2
OCZ PLatinum EL PC 3500 2X256

OVERCLOCKING

12X210 2525Mhz
FSB 420Mhz
CPU temp: 36 celcius
Case temp: 24
Vcore: 1.675V
Vdimm: 2.7V
Timing DDR: 11-2-2-2.5

I ran MEMTEST for 2hres without problems!

Wich software should i use now to check CPU stability??

Tanks for your Help

i see no overclock

use prime95 overnight to check stability

oups!!!!

I made the change!

lol!

LOOK UP!!

Tanks

HEY!! How do i do to put the image from CPU-Z into that post???

HEY GUYS!!! You haven't answer my question!!!

WICH SOFTWARE or TEST SHOULD I DO TO CHECK STABILITY of the SYSTEM??

I observed BAD BEHAVIOR from my PC!! I can't play game!! THE GAMES FREEZE!!

So, i have settings to do but WICH ONES??

Tank you

might want to try loosening your ram latencies / upping the voltage. is the ram running 1:1?

Yes!! It's 1:1!! Increase DDR voltage?? Now it's 2.7 volts!! Is it dangerous?

I have to say, you are quite enthuastic and upbeat :D

Anyways im pretty sure the ram should be able to handle that okay, it depends on the type of ram though some types like lots of voltage othes I dont think respond as well to voltage.

Awdark! My pc is my pc!! I don't want to beat anyone butmy goal is to take benefit and help from experience overclockers and i would be happy to get a reasonable overclock CPU like anyone else. It's my first experience.

The voltage setting i get in the BIOS is 2.7 2.8 2.9 and 3Volts. The timing is 11-2-2-2.5! Wich setting do i need to change?

Tank you

Up the voltage to 2.8 or 2.9, see if it helps. If not, go into BIOS and find the menu (i've got the same mobo, and i think it might be Advanced Motherboard Options) and you'll see some numbers. The timings of your RAM. Take them up to 11-3-3-2.5, and see if that helps. IF that doesn't, make them 11-3-3-3.

And run Prime95 for a couple of hours, if it's stable that should show it. Run the Blend Stress Test.

i think i already did

If you want to be real pro about it run Prime95 and UT2004 together. 6 hours or so like that and ur as stable as they come. Nice OC by the way.

NICE OVERCLOK?? NOT SURE...

I have to change parameters to get stable; i can't play ususal games! So, i'm reading now about timing and OC stuff.

NOW! i'm running 11X210 - 2-2-2-11 1.6V core 2.6V vdimm and 33 degree CPU! I will test it and will try to get FASTER. I will try combinations between faster CPU rate, faster FSB and DDR timing.

I'll do this with software... I'll check the higher transfer rate between CPU and Memory.

I'm working...

tank for your advises

just set your vDimm to 2.8v or 2.9v.. it's not dangerous at all.

up ur vcore to 1.825 or so.

i have the same chip when its at 2.6 i have the vcore at 2.0!! but its running at like 50c idle so i dont run it like that and its not so stable

those temps look like idle temps for a slk...... if it run stable... keep it that way for a while... maybe alil more burn in u might get even better oc

HI!

I'm running 11X222 - 445Mhz FSB -1.7V core 2.8V Vdimm 1.7V chipset and 11-2-2-2.5 timing. It seems stable... Seems because i'm unable to get work PROMETEST 95!! I open the PROG ans get unable to connect to server!

Stable, because i can play my games; SPLINTERCELL, CALL of DUTY and Enemy Territory. I ran burn test from Sandra 2001 25 times without trouble and ran 3DSE 2001 with AA4X 1024X728 32bits OK!

I'd like to test with PRIME! And wonder if i could go higher with the O'C!

Welcome to your opinions

Tanks

I've seen those CPU's handle 2.0v to 2.1v vcore. You might wanna push that higher and see if you can get more out of it.

Something is stopping me. I'm not sure if it's my RAM or my MB!

make your ram ratio 5:4 (or something similar) temporarily and see if it is stable again. that will show you atleast if the ram isn't oc'ing well.

MAXXO!! Running with a ratio of 5:4 ?? I don't understand! 5 for?? and 4 for?? I nedd to read about it!! If you can explain to me i'll do it!!

OK! If i understand well it means to run FSB/MEMORY asynchrounisly? According to that article it is dangerous to run it on NVIDIA chipset and not suitable for AMD plattform

ARTICLE: The only real benefit of async modes on AMD platforms is the fact that it comes in handy to overclockers for testing purposes; to determine their max FSB and to eliminate the memory as a possible cause for not being able to achieve a desired stable FSB speed. Even so, async modes on early nforce2 based motherboards caused many problems; problems as serious as bios corruption.

Before doing this i need your advises!! Or is there another way to get higher or i should stop there?

NOTE: 36 CPU temp is IDLE. I On estimation load would be 10degree higher.

Its best to run ur ratio at 1:1 so your ram and cpu runs at the same FSB.

Put your vdimm to 1.8 or 1.9.

Since u cant get memtest to work try prime95

HI!!

New experimentetions new questions...

Cerrect me if i'm wrong! The most important in a system is the bandwith, the data speed between memory and cpu.

So i tested the two config with SANDRA and ran the BANDWITH test.

11X225 for 2480MHZ CPU speed and 3467 Mb transfer

12X222 for 2672MHZ CPU speed and 3444 Mb transfer

QUESTION

Wath would be the benefit of GETTING A FASTER CPU, on that test, keeping 12X222 config if the transfer is lower???

Tank you all
