Hi everybody!
I'm getting set to completely overhaul my gaming rig (YAY ECONOMIC STUMULUS CHECK!), and need opinions on a PSU.

To the point : The machine I'll be running -
Core2Quad 9300
8gigs DDR2 800 (4x2gb)
2x 500gb HD
8800gt
Various low-power devices (Sound card, WiFi, Firewire)

Whenever NVIDIA decides to unleash the G200, I'll be selling the 8800gt (and maybe a kidney) to buy two of the baddest mofos they wanna sell me.

tl;dr : I need a PSU that'll purr along with what I have, and still have some legroom for a high end SLI setup further down the road. I won't be overclocking anything, so I'm thinking along the lines of a quality 850w unit. I've read all of the [H] reviews, so now I need some input from the folks out in the trenches.

For room to grow, I recommend getting the 750TX since there are so many excellent deals on them right now:
Corsair 750TX 750W PSU - $105

Your current planned system can be handled by the Corsair 550VX and 520HX PSUs but the 750TX deal is simply too good to pass up considering the prices of those other Corsair PSUs.

Exactly. TX750 from buy.com. Just a shame Provantage.com isn't running their deal on it anymore...

They still are running that deal for $99. But buy.com has free shipping and $10 off if you're a first time google checkout user. Hence why I chose them instead of Provantage.

Thanks for the recommendations guys.
I decided to go completely overboard here and snagged an Antec Quadro 850w.
Got a killer deal on it from a local shop going belly up and liquidating their inventory.
New system specs in sig.
