Stock AMD fan speed

Does anyone know how many CFM AMD's stock fans push out?(particularly the XP 1800+ Thoroughbred, just in case they use different fans) I am debating whether or not I should upgrade it to something else, if it would even be worth it.

It's probably not worth replacing the fan only. The best results would be to get a new heatsink and fan.

No idea about CFM, but lemme reboot and I'll tell you what my AXP 2000+ (@2100mhz) is running at, according to the BIOS.

Then I'll stick on a glacialtech fan from an 'igloo 4200' P4 heatsink, and tell you what it runs at after that. Note that it won't be a true test of only a heatsink upgrade, because I'm also putting some new thermal grease on there to replace the stock AMD bubble-gum goop.

K, stock HSF + goop was 54C at idle (in the BIOS), fan speed was 4753. At that idle temp, you wouldn't think this system is nearly as stable as it actually is :).

The P4 fan seems to blow a lot more air, but no surprises there really.

Brb and I'll try out the new fan and compound.

4 C cooler. I guess that's not shabby for keeping the same HS, but I believe I'll be upgrading the HS anyhow :).

I am only interested because I want to replace the fan with a cooler-looking one (ie. lights) without actually lowering the performance. Until I can afford a fan controller AND a Vantec Tornado (preferably 92mm), then at least it should LOOK cool, right?
