The 7950 and 7970 will receive some price drops for sure. If Amd lowers the price on the 7970 and the 7950 close to the 7870 price, then it would make sense for them to drop the price on the 7870's and 7850's as well.
Anyways, unlike last generation of video cards i am certainly not buying a video card until the market is settled, because of price drops. Also kinda waiting on a offical 7XXX series graphics driver, before i make the plunge. Based on the reviews 680 overtakes the 7970. Still not enough performance in a single card solution to power 3x1080p. Which is why i am going with two 7870's.
