I guess it depends on what you are doing...if you multitask, sure, the 3800+ will win. If you do game to game comparison the 4000+ will blow it outta the water and is about the same as the 4400+
 
You should let the water system run without the mobo powered (jumper the 20/24 pin connector - lots of sites show how) for a while to get all the air (those bubbles and "cloud" you are seeing) out. I haven't tried my new t-line setup yet (yes it's in a X-Qpack, but I don't have the radiator mounted yet, so no worklog/pics yet), but supposedly t-lines take longer to purge than a reservoir. My full-size system (with reservoir) was pretty much purged when I let it run overnight for a leak test...
