Steam sales have started

Mass Effect 2 looks as boring as the first one. I had to force myself to finish that game.
But Darksiders is tempting..can't make a decision...
I got dead rising 2 and operation flashpoint to play co-op with a friend.

No, it's not just you. I thought the first game was much better. It was also much longer, and it didn't look completely outdated at the time it was released.

Not the same game imo. I did not care a ton for ME1, it was ok, but I can assure you ME2 is much better. Not boring at all.

When it says [Game download], it says it uses amazon's digital services and that you have a 'games library'. Anyone have any experience with how that works? Is it simply a list of games tied to your amazon account and you can download them indefinitely?

Yes there is No limit to how many times you can download them BUT if the game has steam works such as mafia II the Key can be used on Steam wich does work. I have confirmed that
 
I hope those of you who bought Darksiders for $10 earlier today are not upset that they lowered the price to 9.99.

No. Steam does have the game on sale for 50% off at the moment, but it's not as good a price as Amazon. However, there's a chance that it'll be cheaper as one of the daily Steam deals, so you might want to hold off altogether for the time being.
 
Darksiders is definitely a steal at $10. I've paid $50 for games that have less substance.
 
im going to wait on darksiders only because i have 100 bux left for the next 10 days of sales lol. I already spend 50 damn dollars wich was including 2 steam gifts that I donated. Bleh for being poor. I want to see what xmas eve/xmas day have in store for me lol
 
Darksiders for $10 is awesome! Beat it on PS3 and will now play through it on PC. I hope it supports nvsurround.
 
Picked up Darksliders, Operation Flashpoint and Wings of Prey today. All for 19$, combined with Aliens vs Predator, Duex Ex and Just Cause 2 I've spent 34$, still not bad. I'm willing to go up to around 100$ if they have titles I really want. Not sure what they will pull out next but I will surely be watching.
 
Darksiders? Never even heard of it? And I'm certainly not spending ten dollars on something I've never heard of.

I wonder, though, if The Force Unleashed 2 will be on sale for 75% off - that's the one I want the most now.

I haven't heard of Darksiders either.

Went to youtube to watch some gameplay vids and it looks pretty interesting. Someone commented that its God Of Wars + Prototype.

I'm now seriously considering getting it for 10 bucks
 
Wabe, Darksiders is an excellent game, and as with all gamers (me included), i'm sure you've spent money on worse!

Check out some gameplay videos, it's much better than the force unleashed IMO. I'd highly recommend it at that price!

Darksiders is a very good game imo. The dungeons are very Zeldaish and the combat is like simplified God of War. I own it on the PS3 and enjoy it quite a bit. Easy recommendation, especially at $10
 
So far I haven't picked up a single game. Pretty disappointed in the sales so far. I'm not complaining though. Not everyone can be pleased and I understand that.
 
I am so glad I don't game on PC anymore, the steam sales would have me broke right now. I got on there and checked it out and there is alot of good deals going on

Wow, stop pressuring me... okay, okay, I'll buy it. :)

EDIT: Okay, I just bought it. I guess this is what forums are all about. If enough people indicate that a game is good, especially if it's at a good price, then you should probably just go for it. It doesn't always work out, of course, but I find that most times it's worth the gamble.

Haven't picked up anything either. Saw some games I want, but I'm willing to wait for them to be cheaper. Nothing that jumps out at me as a must buy, yet.

Just wondering, what kind of games do you play? Steam has had a daily deal in pretty much every genre so far. Super Meat Boy for $3.75 and Bad Company 2 for $6.80 were crazy hot deals.

Derangel's an avid poster, and plays lots of great games - I think that like myself he takes a look at almost everything.
