can you link me to that fan patch you speak of? and can you play coop with a buddy if you both have the fan pack installed? thanks
 
Steam is getting pounded right now. So much traffic, half my steam pages wont even load. Looks like its gonna be another good sale for them!

People have been waiting all year for this, probably biggest gaming event of the year at this point.
 
Pages seem slow, but download seems fine to me though. Took me awhile to buy something, but the download is maxing my connection.
 
I've missed thee L4D2 75% off sale. I hope that Steam will have another L4D sale soon :(
 
Tempted to get BC2, don't know if I will play it much though.

I just bit the bullet on Singularity at D2D.

It's not a bad deal. The game sells for $50 at Steam. I'm assuming it will be a daily deal sometime soon. D2D on the other hand, sells it for $40, and for today only it's on sale for 50 percent off, taking it down to $20.

The weekend promo code is still in effect though, so if you type in Grinch you get another ten percent off.

I just bought this for $18, gambling that Steam won't significantly reduce its $50 price tag. Even if Steam goes all out, and takes 75 percent off, it will still be 13$, so for me it was worth the risk. I'm not convinced that Steam will take 75 percent off. Nevertheless, I'm happy enough with that. I happen to be one of the few people who loved Wolfenstein's single player campaign, and was seriously baffled as to why people didn't like it - this game looks very similar to me.

Ah well, at least I know I'll play it.

Lionheart is the only other title I want. It's probably worth it right now at $15.

Also, guys, heads up on the Prince of Persia game. It's actually not bad. I bought it day one last Spring because I was bored. It's worth it at $7, I think.

I saw that deal and brought it a few days ago - that's the first game to scare me for a while!

well, I just picked up BC2 and super meat boy and have change from £10 :eek:

These 'deals' might start getting expensive..

Titan Quest Gold is definitely worth it, it's an awesome action RPG.

That site is also the most active forum for the game. If and when you want to try more than just the vanilla game, I suggest checking out the mod Underlord. Very well put together mod.

dont forget to go to their patch page and get the 1.1 patch that fixes texture streaming issues.
 
My god the DEALS! Just picked up two sweet oddworld games for 11 bucks. 3 prince of persia games for 7.50

Picked up meatboy, and thq pack. i still haven't played COH and War40k2, and $50 seems like a good deal for just those titles alone. i hope to play those games someday. eventually. :p
 
Not impressed by the first day, if it's any indication of things to come then this will be underwhelming.

ARMA II and Mafia II @ $5 is what I am waiting for, nothing else will do!

Right around Christmas weekend is when the really sweet deals happen, then again the entire last week of the year. Usually the first few days are kinda more on the lean side.

I have ME1 on steam, but I don't have ME2 on steam. I've played ME2 on the 360, and I found it to be a much more enjoyable experience, even though I really liked ME1 as well. ME2 was more tps than it was RPG though. Still, the interaction and dialogs made the game so awesome.

yeah for some reason they dont mention it on the product page but it is there on the patch page. I cant find a definitive answer as to whether the Steam version was ever updated though. I am debating on getting it from D2D...

Bethesda Pack has Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Call of Cthulhu, and Rouge Warrior for $40. I haven't played any of these minus Morrowind (but I never finished it or got far).

Will the deal be sweeter later, or is it not going to get any better than that?

It says $69.99 for me :confused:...I woulda bought it for $40 though :eek:
 
I want Gears of war on GFWL to drop to around 5 bucks lol i dont want to spend 20 for it

I thought the entire ARMA II collection (game and two DLCs) on Steam for ~$25 over Thanksgiving was pretty damn good. Good enough for me, anyway.
