Steam iOS and Android App

Uh not any apple product, but there is nothing stopping developers from selling apps directly to users of android phones given that its not a closed platform....users can run whatever code they want. For example, Android users can literally buy apps direct from Gameloft without going through the Android market, whereas Gameloft redirects Apple users to itunes if they want to purchase anything.
 
Quick, someone tell Jeff Bezos he isn't allowed to sell games on Android without Google's permission.
 
Pretty good for basic use. It seems the friends tab is the default view... However the store is there with the specials button. So, sales will be harder to miss now
 
Android app update today says the beta is now available to all steam users.
 
The app is out of beta for both, isn't it? It is for Android at least.

Btw, is there a setting for showing up as "offline" by default that I'm not seeing? As in, being able to use the app (mainly browsing the shop) without your status being displayed as "online" to everyone on your friends list.

Great to know. Not sure why Steam gave me a free invite unless its meant to make people aware of it that aren't. :confused:
