you know blizzard, they believe the best way to build anticipation, is to tell us nothing but the name of a project and that they are working on it
I believe that they promised a fal 08 release, which for blizzard usually means Q1 09.
Too true. But then again Blizzard does something that many game producers dont...they take their time and get games right on the first release...unlike some game producers...cough cough EA. At least Blizzard has been pretty good for that kind of stuff in the past.
LOL. You owe me a new keyboard, and an explanation to my copy of D2 I bought at release that I couldn't play for a good 9 or 10 months because of it's screwed up copyprotection thinking my legitimate CD was a copy and not the original.
Explanation: You didn't return your copy to the store. Stores will replace an opened defect game for same title only.

So you hate blizzard? The CD was not defective. Blizzard's copyright protection was, and when paired with certain CD-ROM drives, would claim that the game was not legitimate. This was a widespread problem that was generally fixed for most people within a month or two, though some of us (including me), got screwed over for a good 10 or so months.
Alot nicer...SC2 still looks like SC1 with enhanced graphics.... wonder if it'll have the same shitty AI, lol

I think if anyone is to be blamed for the whole D2 copy protection problem it would be the provider of the copyright software, wasnt it starforce or something? and not a problem with D2 at all.
Hate Blizzard? No. They still make great games. But to say their games don't have issues is laughable at best.
I'm fairly certain the issues were caused specifically by blizzard actually, in an attempt to prevent no-cd cracks from working. The problem did not start until patch 1.03 (or was it 1.04?), and continued up until 1.06 or so. That's why there were numerous mini-updates to those various patches labeled a/b/c. It was all an attempt to rectify the issues caused by their copyright protection scheme.

Blizzard didn't develop Ghost, they outsourced it to another company.

Good AI? I suppose maybe for it's time...
However, the computer was retarded... maybe not so much in single player but player vs computer in multiplayer was just ridiculous. The computer would usually take 1 of 3 routes and you'd figure it out in the first five minutes of play. If you lost to the computer in multiplayer mode... you have got to be a newb. I wasn't much for single player SC so I can't say how AI was there...
How can you evaluate a game's AI if you never gave the single player modes time? Also, from my experience, single player AI was the same as online battle.net AI. Also, please remember that custom maps do not offer the same AI experience, they completely fucked up AI in custom maps, official maps is where the AI was very competitive.I wasn't much for single player SC so I can't say how AI was there...
Who's comparing Starcraft to any current RTS?
The AI was very competitive when not having their difficulty set at below easy....

Who plays with AI?
