You augmented reality fans are in for a treat. Announced last month, Disney and Lenovo partnered up to create the cool AR experience that is every Padawan's wet dream. As part of today's Force Friday iI for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Lenovo released a first look for the Jedi Challenges. Unleash your inner nerd with this sweet set-up. More info at the official website, Pre-order from Best Buy here.

Check out the first look.

The Mirage is an AR headset built by Lenovo and Disney that features a series of exclusive 'Jedi Challenge' games. Highlights include a series of lightsaber battles with iconic Star Wars heroes and villains, the Holo Chess game Chewie and C-3PO played in A New Hope, and RTS/tower defense modes.

I hope marketing doesn't get paid well, those commercials are horrible. I caught the 2187 though for the house number hehe, nice touch. These sell themselves, really shouldn't put too much extra in the videos, those dudes looked pathetic. And why not have head to heads so youi can fight? Only against the computer? Thats lame.

I envision this scenario instead.

Seems like fun, but why pay 200 dollars for a crummy VR that only plays a few star wars mini-games? 200 extra bucks would get you the upcoming windows VR headsets.

Good point. It looks cool - but if it only does the three games, I would imagine people would get bored of it really quick. I can see the first lightsaber fight being very cool - but is it replayable? Kind of doubt it.

maybe for us...but I have a 7 year old who will play this thing everyday for the rest of his childhood
