I wouldn't expect him to, he's also too busy spamming that link asking for money for his son's charity...
I'd go to Ben or Pete Mackay (holokitten) for the answer to that.
 
So... i'm thinking about upgrading to Super Hornet and picking up the Ghost as my second ship. Any reason why I shouldn't?
 
I was offering a permanent docking spot on my Idris to people who got a Tracker/SWACS hornet but I realized that you will be able to buy the parts and retrofit them once the game launches making it a moot point.

Super hornet and Ghost sound like they will give you nice diversity in gameplay options. Ghost can be a smuggler, infiltrator or VIP transporter and the Super Hornet can be your main attack ship for either bounty hunting/piracy/cargo convoy escort. etc.

well, everything on the ghost can be put on the super hornet, in game.

imo it seems like a waste to have more than 1 hornet if you dont really need 2.

and with the super hornet having a better hull than the Ghost, its just a better template to start with.

there is no real reason you would need a ghost and a super hornet unless you really wanted the equipment on the ghost for the dogfight alpha because once the game comes out you can just buy all the low emission equipment for your super hornet.

the super hornet can be equiped everything thats on the other variants including the SWACS dome.

and its not cheap to get the ghost it is 125$

you could get a freelancer in addition to your super hornet to have some real variety in your ships.

or a cutlass if you just want more storage on a smaller ship than the freelancer while still having a turret on your back.
 
Quick note: Cutlass is not smaller, it's actually larger/heavier and it will not fit inside an Idris while a Hornet can. (Source: Rob during chatroll a week or so ago)

i ment smaller than the freelancer, not the hornet, if he wanted a smaller ship than the freelancer while still having some cargo space and an upper turret

Thanks for the tip. I still wonder how the 2 seat Hornet will behave in flight vs. 1 seat, but that didn't stop me from biting the bullet and upgrading to Super Hornet. :eek:

And I don't really care about the cargo space. Maybe I'll pick one of the 300's later on?

edit. something is broken. F7C-M shows in my hanger, and the client downloaded the patch, but I still only see the vanilla ship when I log in. Odd...

Now that I read it again, that makes perfect sense.

P.S: Scamming ebay assholes, sold my Hearthstone beta key and the buyer instantly filed a dispute with Paypal right after I sent him the email claiming it was a fake...
Paypal ruled in my favor though and right after that I got another beta key on my other account lol. If the second one sells for the same (~$100 after fees) I'll be getting the Weekend Warrior Hornet package for free. :cool:

P.P.S: ~$25k away from $24M.

btw i think Risem said Eric confirmed the Super has the same upgrade slots as the F7C so don't need to worry about having less upgrades because of the larger power plant.

I honestly can't keep up with this anymore. I'm feeling overwhelmed with the ships being released, and what's offered with LTI, how the upgrades work, etc. This is disheartening :(.

Lol, FrEaKy, I am actually serious. I haven't purchased or shopped on the website since I pledged at the end of August, so I'm quite a bit confused. I'm still super excited for the game and future modules, but I feel I'm missing the boat.
 
Whats the difference between the Hornet specter and ghost? Same pics and description, but the specter is $15 dearer. Same with the tracker vs swacs.

Specter and Ghost are the same ship, however, specter comes with the game as well
Tracker and SWACS are the same ship, however, SWACS comes with the game as well

Ehh, click on each of them and see what they contain?
One is a package that comes with alpha/beta access, in-game credits and a digital download of the full game plus other digital goodies, the other is just the ship alone.
 
Heh just picked up the weekend warrior package. The only reason i did is because i wanted that pistol lol. but the super seemed to be the best platform to work off of any way.
 
Yeah the second seat can also be used for securing prisoners like in the Cutlass lol. One last scenic ride before their life as a slave begins. :D

P.S: Knowing you, you'd have 'em gagged and covered with a hood...gotta keep up Shifty's shitty transport service standards

well shifty's SHIFTY transport. service works in conjunction with "shifty pirate healthcare"

so they don't have to worry about a life of slavery.

I actually think that pirates should have their own healthcare system, that you could sell bodies to, like salvage. a little morbid but it would make for an interesting mechanic.

So if I buy super hornet upgrade now can i purchase the $110 hornet pack from you after lorien? Would that work? Just wanna make sure I can buy the upgrade now and the hornet later.

Also with the super hornets second seat being unlocked in job, can super hornet still be piloted effectively solo?

Not sure about the first part or about the "Unlocked in job"? but the Super Hornet only needs one pilot to fly the second seat can be for increased efficiency/gunner/strategist etc, left empty or even used as a passenger seat.

Yes that does work. All you lose is the pistol which is exclusive of the Weekend Warrior package but you get everything else and you save $15 for a total of $165 out of pocket. I'm still debating on whether I'm gonna do this or just buy the Weekend Warrior package myself, if we had more info on the freaking pistol lol and what makes it be worth $15...

Thought bout that but I have the backers laser pistol so I'm OK with it
 
I still wish they sold the T-shirts...

Also wish the Bomber was still available. Would of loved one over the Hornet. I have a 325A, but I have no idea what to even touch from there. Don't want anything ridiculous. Maybe thinking of the $40 hanger upgrade?
