I have been trying to get memtest to run but it shows Loading............ and then just freezes. Or maybe im not waiting long enough for it to start? I have ran IBT, Prime for 4 hours, and about 3 hours of COD4 without a hickup. I have had IE crash on me once and CPUID acted wierd a couple times but not 100% sure this is from an unstable system. I have crashed IE on stock clocked systems. Other then that I haven't had a single issue. Can I call it stable? Is there any reason memtest would not run? I have my controller set to RAID and I wonder if that is the issue. Thx for any input.

is say its more of a winblows issue then the overclock.. if IE is crashing, and your having a few other programs acting up..

That is what I am thinking. Everything else is as stable as can be. Prime put my max temps at 60C and IBT put me at 70C. Nothing I do even takes it out of the 50's. I would really like to run memtest over night just to feel better about it all but just cant get it to load. The EP45-UD3P is a nice board but it has its share of small bugs.

I had same problem with my RAID setting, try different media to boot from (USB stick, USB floppy, CD etc etc.). Been a while now so I forgot which one actually worked for me.

ultimate boot cd/disc/k.. download that. .burn it to a cd.. boot with it and run memtest from the cd over night..

It never boots to the disk. It would be all teh memory if it booted.
ultimate boot cd/disc/k.. download that. .burn it to a cd.. boot with it and run memtest from the cd over night..
Yeah, I was thinking of trying Hirens out. I do have that around somewhere.

Odd, if its a memtest86+ boot disk it should load almost instantly once the CD is recognized and spinning. Makes me wonder if the SATA/IDE/ACHA settings in the bios are correct. Is it a SATA or IDE DVD drive and if SATA is it plugged into the yellow or the purple connector ?
Its a SATA dvd drive. It half way boots. You see the Loading............... part and then it freezes. Controller is set to raid. I can try moving it to the gigabyte controller and see if that helps. I know the drive functions fine in the OS. Burned a DVD the other day with no issues.
