SSD TRIM support on SoftRAID 0

Looking to get a nice speedy SSD setup going using two 40GB~60GB SSD's running RAID-0. I'm fully aware TRIM isn't supported via hardware RAID, but does anyone know if it's supported just using the built-in Windows software RAID functionality via the MS AHCI (TRIM supporting) drivers?

I have never seen any info that shows the value of TRIM over a period of time. As long as you have a recent generation of SSD's then the garbage collection should be all you need.

The problem with garbage collection is that it requires a large amount of idle time to work on a heavily used drive. For people who prefer to turn off their computer when not in use, TRIM is extremely useful since it works once the file is deleted.

Kinda a moot point because AFAIK, you can't boot from a MS RAID0 set-up.

I was assuming TRIM would work with a MS RAID0 because you can "see" the seperate drives where in a normal Intel RAID0 scenario you can only "see" one drive regardless how many drives are there.

Maybe not but that's how my little brain thought about it. :D
