I will be using my computer mainly for gaming and streaming on Twitch.tv. This is my first time trying to use a SSD as a boot drive and a secondary traditional hard drive. My question is, does anyone know a decent tutorial on setting it up correctly? I have checked out this link so far:
http://www.overclock.net/t/664738/h...rive-with-secondary-hard-disc-optimization/10
----------------------
However I would like everything possible (default install location, etc.) to default to the secondary traditional drive, and to have the choice of switching certain programs to C: (the SSD) when needed.
----------------------
Another question is, do you recommend that I install my video games (WoW, Starcraft) and my streaming program (Xsplit) onto the SSD, and everything else (Skype, Vent, etc.) onto the secondary traditional hard drive?
Thanks for your replies in advance =]
edit: using intel 520 120gb SSD and a seagate 250gb 7200rpm traditional drive (yea the secondary is pretty small, but it is more than enough for what I want to put on this rig, which is going to be strictly for WoW/Starcraft and streaming those as well as my xbox on twitch.tv)
Everything else (word, excel, powerpoint, and other applications like surfing the web and all will be done on my laptop, desktop is for gaming/streaming only.)
edit: thank you for moving thread to correct spot =]
