This is about to drive me nuts. I have everything together on my SR-2 with 2 E5530 ES's. It gets through all of the controller checks and such, then when it should try to boot to a drive, it shows Checking NVRAM and hangs there, and the LED show 04 (Check Battery Power and CMOS.) I can get into the bios and change things, and the changes are saved. I have tried every combination of drives I have, including no drive at all, with the same result. I have cleared the CMOS numerous times, swapped out the battery, tried every combination of RAM I have, and it does exactly the same thing.
Any thoughts of what else to try? I am rapidly running out of ideas. It sounds like this guy has the same problem:
