I bought an antec EA500 and can't figure out if there's a right way to split the 4pin connector to get a 20pin. It looks like the 4pin is held on by semi-permanent plastic tabs which you'd have to cut or break?

thanks for any help

ok... so if you need to use with a 24pin socket, just stick them in together? I thought that they were supposed to attach via some sliding mechanism.

It seems... inelegant and not idiot proof, considering the existing 4-pin 12v connector.

The way the two separate depends on the specific connector used, and the exact mechanism varies. There's no single mandated way for them to attach.
