Splatoon Raiders - Switch 2

I've been enjoying just using the Go Help feature to jump into random raids. I also like that for the most part the raid attempts are quick, so you're not tied down for hours upon hours. Except you still will be, because the game is addictive.

This game values your time better than any game in this genre. Replaying content you already completed isn't this slog because the missions are very short. You can play, have fun, and make progress even if you have very little time to invest. Or you can just be a maniac like most people and play all day. It also doesn't bog you down with a bunch of useless loot which then requires a lot of inventory management. I also kind of like how builds aren't made with a skill tree and it's a 100 % based on itemization. It's very well done and pretty remarkable to nail it on a first try. Future looter shooters should take note of what raiders has accomplished here.

Time to renew that Nintendo online sub I guess.

I mean you don't HAVE to, I just find it fun. You get a little bonus when you do it, random material items or sometimes weapons. I already had Nintendo Online from when I bought the Switch 2.

Went ahead and renewed, went with the expansion pack so I can check out the N64/GC stuff, helping others in raids is fun for sure.

This is my favorite S2 game so far, probably going to hit level 50 by the end of the weekend.

Easily one of the biggest surprises on the Switch 2 so far. Nintendo really nailed the matchmaking and game loop on this one....super easy to jump in for a quick session and end up playing all night

Those aren’t bots, they randomize names on the help feature to protect kids.
I figured that as well, but then it's weird that you can choose your name. I guess that's just for local or friend multiplayer?

Tons of end game content here. I just can’t set this game down.

I pretty much “beat” the game yesterday by making it past level 100 of the bottomless buffet and clearing all super spicy raids. Only thing left is two annoying sampler dungeons (one speed run and another balloon popping time limit bs) that I haven’t been able to clear which would max out my health, hasn’t been an issue though.

I also maxed out my favorite weapon, a primo toy shark blaster to +50, suuuuper expensive endeavor. I highly recommend saving your spirhalite gems for the weapon (and gadget parts) you’re 100% sure about taking to the end game, and only spend them 5 star primos. I was hoping for a roller at some point but never got one. I ended up using the speed tank with a freeze/ferment build.

All that’s left other than that is to see how far I can go in the buffet and just hop on and help people.

Can’t believe how much I ended up loving this game. I doubt it’ll happen but I would love some additional content!
