Soundcard Freezing Comp

Hey I have the M-Audio Audiophile 2496 Soundcard installed in my pc. It works but for some reason after a while it freezes my computer and makes a zzzzz sounding if im playing audio.
When I uninstall it this never happens any ideas?
 
1.67 Ghz AMD AthlonXP 2000+ , XP Pro
736 ddr ram
80GB Harddrive
All drivers are current.
 
I tried that also. A person over at m-audio , said that it may be interferring with my internet somehow. Any ideas?
