Sound vs. Speed

I was wondering which would be the more wise choice to get first:
1. Audigy 2 ZS+Logitech z-680
or
2. Kingston HyperX 1GB+ Samsung 16x DVD-Rom


( I have researched these items the only thing is picking which to get first.)

You failed to tell us what you currently have... what sound card, speakers, ram, and dvd-rom ?


personally, i'd hit the ram up first... exspecially since my speakers suck and my soundcard handles them fine already.

1. Boston Acoust. BA735+ SB Live!

2. 512MB PC3200 Major_Brand <- crap

ps. I knew some of you would ask questions like this but originally my question was "in general"

Get the memory. An additional 512mb of memory will help out with games like Farcry, Doom 3, and other more demanding titles and should make the game more smooth and enjoyable.

If you're getting both eventually, get the sound system. You'll have more fun with it, trust me
