• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

sorry

sorry for another thread like this but i need some opinions my friend is on a budget and he can't unpgrade he wanted to know if he will be able to run half-life2 ok....

Intel Pentium4 1.5Ghz
512mb PC2100 Ram DDR
GeForceFX 5200nu (slightly overclocked)

thats his system specs.

We don't know, but preliminary benchmarks say not at a decent resolution.

You'll be on the 3x path, and will have to yank that resolution down to get it playable. Especially with that 1.5ghz P4 (that's the original willimette core...)

^^^

jup, he should have no problem running it at 800x600 with eye candy turned down

Not sure, the 5200 is a terrible card, even for the budget level, and the RAM and processor are older models. If he was able to, I wouldn't expect anything higher than 800x600 with some visual quality compromised.
