I have an asus p7p55d-e LX motherboard with two 6gb WD black hdd's the 1002fsomethings lol well everything was fine... till today when i came home with my shiny new titanium video to see that it was TOO BIG so i had to relocate one of the blacks to another port.. the setup before anyhting went bad was

X bios settings, 1 black as windows7 os, 1 black as backup files drive, 1 IDE- Pioneer DVR-A05 ya i know... lol all i got either way i moved one of the blacks (files drive NO OS) from the 6gb MARVELL port (grey) to the 3gb INTEL port (blue) and my cd-rom disapeared.... now I CANT INSTALL THE DRIVERS (can find them online but no software) so in essence my new sound card has effectivly raped me no rainbow what the fck.. :confused:
 
oh and ive system restored, changed bios settings, removed the non os black, reconnected the cdrom whats messed up is i hear the disk spinning it ejects etc no where to be found deleted and re-installed the intel chipset from device manager cant remember what else but im seriosuly going crazy..
 
did you accidentally set it to the wrong master/slave position? Is the cable keyed? Is it inserted incorrectly?
 
i feel like the biggest fucking moron right now (2 hours later) only after taking a look at the motherboards manual did a figure out that while i was in bios disabling the onboard sound and a few other things im not using i noticed i had disabled the jMicron eSATA port but that port is not only for eSTAT but PATA aswell so my cdrom went bye bye just fixed it though thank god thanks anyway!
