So..this Sony 32" LCD is advertised as 720p.. and as with most 720p TV's, they'll also display 1080i signals.
I've had 2-3 LCD's in the last couple year's that would do this.. 2 of them were connected to my PS3 and Xbox360.. 1 Panasonic Viera 26", and 1 Westinghouse 32".. both ONLY displayed 720p/1080i in the Ps3 display settings.
Over the last few years, the only options I could see available on my PS3's display were 480p, 720p and 1080i..
I got this new Sony Bravia KDL-32L4000 and lo-and-behold, 1080p is available under the PS3's display properties.. So I select it and it shows 1080p in the Sony display settings.
I run some games and wtf..1080p! I got a TV advertised as 720p and it's displaying 1080p!
Is this common? lol..
I can see a diff when it's set to 1080p..it's more fluid and the FPS look smoother..
