I prefer the metal clips myself. They're much cheaper as well at around $2.50 for a set of two. Some people don't care for them though, but I think that with also using the rubber strips, they make for less vibrations.

Ya only problem is every website I looked at that sold the cooler and the clips was out of stock on the clips, and I didn't wanna pay 8 bucks shipping on a $2 item.
