Someone on hold to buy my 8800gts 640 go or no

K I just read the benchmarks on the 8800gt and from what everyone is saying the card kicks 8800gts ass! So i put my card on craigs list annnd some guy emailed me saying he wants to buy my card for 280. Should i just go with it ? Im not looking to make a profit im just looking to get the 8800gt since it is better than the gts
 
$280 isn't much for a 640, considering its semi close in speed with the 8800gt and the 8800gt will probably cost about $280 as well... your choice though.

Have you actually read any benches, or just going by your own random ideas?

Oh, and they go for $230-250ish, not $280-300 ;).
 
Quite often yep it does get higher FPS from reviews so far, but sometimes it also is lower. So dunno depends on the game. Memory intensive games will do better on the 8800gts while shader intensive games will do better on the 8800gt.

Also, the 8800gt is single slot so will heat up your case vs dual slot coolers which expel most out the back.

If you want to do any kind of video stuff though (not gaming, but video as in movies) the 8800gt will be a definite to go with as it has the same capabilities as the 8600 and lower cards.

And the 8800gt dies with any AA in Crysis in this benchmark:

And in most tests it is close to the 8800gts, so its not my random ideas *shrug*
 
You should have sold it last week. If the guy is really nice, then sell it to him. If he is a jerk, then sell it to him :D

Never heard of em, and did they already take orders or just have it for pre-order? ZZF already took orders and had some in stock afaik.

They also have 1/10 of the reviews of ZZF, anyway I really don't care and have better things to do than go back and forth with you over this.

Point is, you will pay about the same for the 8800gt and will probably see a slight boost in some games while maybe loosing out in others. Its up to you if its worth the time and money to sell your card and buy a new one.

I might just keep the card...I gave them my email in the postings sooo lol i can keep them hanging. Whens hard gonna do there review !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You'd hope that with more reviews it would average out to a better score to drown out the idiots ;), but with RipBoomLie they get worse the more people that buy from them ;).

Point is, you are completely wrong and have no clue what you're talking about, period. Go educate yourself instead of looking kinda silly :). Later.
 
I like that 234 but its like 240 shipped and tax kills it for CA and TX.
