Anyone have any experience with these guys? I've been looking online and found plenty of decent reviews, but none of them were [H] approved reviews... :rolleyes:

They basically meet all my requirements to be a new set of headphones for the office. iPhone compatible with the remote and mic in the signal line. I tried a pair at Target last night and spent about 10 minutes listening to music and seeing how they feel after being worn for a few minutes. They felt great and the bass response was perfect for what I need them for. They won't be turned up past 50% since I'll be at the office and the overall response was pretty good for a sub $100 of headphones.

Please note I already have a nice set of Sony Cans for the house for all my music and when I'm tracking guitar parts. These will strictly be for listening in my cube at work and be worn for about 4-5 hours a day.

They have a good amount of clamping force and on ear, so for long sessions probably not the most comfortable. Definitely have a boosted bass response, so if that's what you're after and don't mind the clamp go for it. I had a pair on loan from a friend for a week, and they seem like they can hold up ok to normal wear and use. Not my cup of tea as far as sound but definitely not the worst I've ever heard either.
 
As much as some people think circumaural headphones look too big and ridiculous, supraaural headphones ALL get uncomfortable VERY quickly to me. I have AKG K81DJs. Can't wear them for long compared to my circumaural DT990s and HD555s.
 
Update!

so Amazon had the TR8 pair on sale for $61 about a week ago with free prime shipping. I said what the hell and ordered them just to see if I'd like them.

After a few days in the office here are my notes:

Pros: Bass response is impressive for such an entry level pair of headphones. 3 way controller works flawlessly with my iphone and my ipad.

Cons: The band is a little tight and after a couple of hours i do have to take them off. I think the tightness will slowly go away after I get them broken in.

Overall I have really satisfied with the audio quality. I listen to everything from Skrilex to guns and roses to joe bonamassa to chopin and they are bringing everything in with crystal clear quality!
 
I might go in on a pair, going to be needing something like this after my puppy chewed through my last headset

A couple of hours is already quite good for headphones of any kind. Often times I have to take breaks from my super comfortable DT990s and HD555s at or even before 2 hours.
 
I've been using in-ears forever, but want to make the switch to on-ears and have been researching everything from Beats to Sol to Sony.

The more I read about Sol, especially from you guys above, the more it sounds like these could be the ones to go with.

Does anyone know if the difference between their Tracks and their Tracks HD are that different?

For what? Work or home? Gaming or music? Budget?

I would say there are better headphone for the money. I know that there are actually. Just a matter of what you need them to do.
 
I would use them mostly at work and at the gym to listen to music.

I'd like to spend under $150, but if there's a pair of headphones closer to $200 that are above and beyond anything else in their category then I might consider them.
