Socket 939 Alliance Recognition

Wow...and to think I just posted in the 939 thread about how pissed I was that it was put out to pasture...
 
When you put things out to pasture that means they work with no problems and are reliable. That is what my A8R32-MVP Deluxe is and I am happy with it. Opti 175:cool: So I guess you can count me in. 939 for the next 7 years. Set up in Jan. 2007
 
WooHoo! intel would never do something like this, they should of some prizes to the s754 alliance, im pretty sure the s754 alliance was here first, cool anyway:D
 
I've been overclocking this FX-55 and I must say I'm surprised; the lack of voltage options on this motherboard made it look like it was going to be impossible to get any sort of a decent overclock, but boy was I wrong.

I'm currently running at 2.85GHz, stock voltage, stock CPU multi, 184MHz memory divider, and a 4x HT multi.

According to Orthos and Prime 95, it's stable as can be. 250MHz for free, w00t! :D
 
too bad I was not able to get in on this I have been using S939 since PCI-E was coming to play and I was using a AGP mobo and I am still using S939.

I have my opteron 144 s939 in a box that did 3.1ghz 24/7 stable that no one wants to buy.

Congrats to the winners, and as mentioned, its great to see AMD recognize the community. If only more companies tried to maintain a relationship with their customers. Thats one thing I love about iD software for instance, just about all their games (I think all recent games) have been easily installable on Linux. Which is a huge thing today, something that many other game companies wouldn't even consider. Its definitely a showing of support for their fan base. That, and most likely John Caramack's direction.
 
yeah could i get in on the 939 Alliance??

I love my 939 even though the AM2's are faster. :p I am going to OC my 3800+ today. I already got a 500mhz oc out of it on water with stock volts.

well, i managed to get together enough money to get my internet running again (been a bit broke :p)

am i too late? id be shattered if i was, god id love to have a decent computer these days, but i do struggle with money so :(
