I just wanted to say hello, and I also have a few questions. I don't game as much anymore, or do anything more extensive then check my e-mail, so I figured I might as well put my machine to use. I have only briefly read into this whole folding idea so far, but I am about to read a bit more. As for the questions:

I am currently running the system in my sig - how many clients should i be running? I currently have 2, each set to 50% processor utilization, and roughly 2 gigs of ram for each client. Should each client be set to 100% usage? And if I should be running more clients - how many?

Also, poking around briefly, I understand there is a GPU client. I would also love to run this, however it seems like you need to hack an inf file somewhere to get it working? I will read more, but I may just wait until an official x64 client comes out. Any idea when they will be releasing this?

Any information or suggestions will be appreciated, and I look forward to folding with team #33.

Cheers,
keefer

First off, Welcome!!!!!

I would be running a single instance of the SMP client on that CPU.

I'd run 2 standard clients and the new GPU client. You will get more points just of the GPU client that you will the SMP and the standard clients will be gravy

Welcome, Fold [H]ard!

Welcome to the [H]orde, the greatest folding team on the Planet.

I would take a look at the Nvidia GPU client. ;)

The link for the Nvidia GPU client on their website seems to be broken. Any idea of an alternate download site?

Welcome! Grab the Nvidia GPU client as others have mentioned and watch yourself shoot up the ranks.

How could I forget? :D

Welcome keefusm to the stroken'est, smoken'est and besten'est team on the "Net", tha' big [H}orde. I can honestly tell you we've got some of the smartest and most helpful member persons of all the folding teams in the universe. If you can't find the answer here to a folding question there probably ain't no answer known to mankind, womankind or martiankind. (good ole' SETI DC program) ;)

Good luck with your graphics card and I'll admit, you make me a little envious because I'll probably have to wait a week or two to get a card and in that time I'll probably wear out my keyboard typing questions to the knowledgeable and helpful members on this great folding team, which is Team 33. (I'll admit I ain't too humble, but as you can tell, I can sure butcher the English language) :)

Nice to have you!

Any more new members and I'm going to run out of beer and tamales before payday;)

Anyhow, welcome to the [H]orde, hope you get to know everyone!!

/beer and a tamale for you!!

Fold On!!!

Welcome to the Team!

Fold on! For the Cure!

Thanks for all the warm replies. My box is at home folding away! My GPU is plain screamin~! Its pulling in about 4980PPD's alone. Now its time to put a farm of PC's with 8800's together. <Insert maniacal laugh here.>

I wonder if I can convince our CEO to install the client and run them on all our PC's here at work. Under my user name of course. :d
