Smaller SSD for SRT Use - Preferred Controller?

I'm looking for a small (64 GB or less) SSD that will be used only for cache - not as a boot drive - is there a controller or speed preference?

It would be used with a Z68-based motherboard (likely the ASUS P8Z68-V LX) as a fourth SATA device (two existing HDDs+one SATA ODD). The boot drive it wil be used with will be at least SATA 3.0/Gb (either my current WD Caviar EcoGreen 500GB or Hitachi GST 1.5 TB OEM, which is SATA 6.0/Gb - http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0366709)

If I go with the Hitachi, it would bump the WD to either storage-only or a secondary-OS boot drive (it's the primary boot drive currently).

Given the low opinion of OCZ SSDs, the next one up is the MicroCenter-branded SSD (however, it also has a SandForce SF-1222 controller) followed by the SAMSUNG 470 (controller unknown).

Windows 7 x64 will be the primary OS.
 
Intel has made some specifically for this purpose. Look up the 311 series.

I'm seeing lots of 320-series drives - how do they compare to/differ from the 311 series? Also, the 311 series isn't exactly easy to find even e-tail (Newegg doesn't carry them, for example)

The 311 series are SLC whereas the 320 are MLC based. According to Intel, a SLC based SSD is recommended due to large amount of stress SRT has on the SSD. The 311 series is available on Newegg under Enterprise SSDs:
