My friend bought a slot loading drive and the bezel wasn't big enough to fill the whole and left a little gap all the way around it. I believe the drive he had was lite-on though so not sure if all will be like that.
You guys went high end on your drives. I checked eBay with the drives mentioned and most of the ones are well north of $75. Look nice, but looking more in the $30 range for the SG05.
I was looking at this one at NewEgg: Samsung SN-S083F/BEBE --> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827151221
Anything I'm missing about why this one would not be a good fit for the SG05. It will not be used for Blu Ray's and only burn CD's/DVD's every blue moon as most everything goes via email or thumb drive. I just need a CD/DVD for the kids primarily playing games or ripping CD's.
Ended up getting a slot load Dell 5V759 from eBay. Didn't need the BD capability, but had read some more about issues with the tray load drives catching and this was the best deal I found on a slot load drive. Should be here next week. Have to see how it fits.
I have a space around the bezel with 3 different DVD/Bluray drives in my two SG05 and one SG06 cases. I'm comming to think it's normal. My SG07 is fine, however![]()
I've got an extra SN-S083 (tray) sitting on my desk if you're still looking.
