could SLI or whatever there usin now for the dual 6800s actually link more than 2 v-cards??like coudl the develope 3 or 4 linked v-cards???

True, but it's not impossible to increase the number of PCI-E lanes to ridiculous heights. I don't see why a mainboard couldn't have 6 PCI-E 16X slots (6 * 16 = 96 lanes), unless it's not supported by the current PCI-E spec.advanced101101 said:[..] you can only have so many PCIe pipelines

Current 6800 cards do not have the headers the SLI 'thingy' connects to. Later version will probably all have it. I'd say that the SLI thingy (I'm starting to like this nametechmedic007 said:I had a question if i may![]()
Does the "link PCB" (the part that actually links the cards together in SLI) come included with every geforce 6800 purchased?
Or does the link have to be bought seperately?
