could SLI or whatever there usin now for the dual 6800s actually link more than 2 v-cards??like coudl the develope 3 or 4 linked v-cards???

2s the max(unless Nvidia designs something that the public will never get thier hands on, like governement work) you can only have so many PCIe pipelines

True, but it's not impossible to increase the number of PCI-E lanes to ridiculous heights. I don't see why a mainboard couldn't have 6 PCI-E 16X slots (6 * 16 = 96 lanes), unless it's not supported by the current PCI-E spec.

I had a question if i may :)

Does the "link PCB" (the part that actually links the cards together in SLI) come included with every geforce 6800 purchased?

Or does the link have to be bought seperately?

Thanks

It might require a revision of the PCI-E spec (to add more lanes), but yes, it's definitely a possibility.

Current 6800 cards do not have the headers the SLI 'thingy' connects to. Later version will probably all have it. I'd say that the SLI thingy (I'm starting to like this name ;) ) has to be bought seperately, although it might come with the card, probably as an incentive to buy that second card :)
