Nice rig, Very clean. Temps = Too High :) I got 42 under full load with my AMD proc (overclocked a tad). if you're idle is 60, there's a good chance that your load is 80...
 
I love those Asus mobos and their shiny blackness. 60c idle.. I would hate my PC being 60c load! Try to reset the heatsink, and that the heatsink is sitting on it properly, and that it's not warped or something. Nice cable management by the way.

Try re applying the thermal grease and reseating the hsf. That cant be right for idle, even with intel.
 
Otherwise asus could be miscalculating temps, Touch your heatsink when its under load and see if its really anywhere close to that temp

If you could touch the heatsink and feel that it was hot then it would be making good contact with the processor and he wouldn't be having 60C idle temps :rolleyes:
If his idle temps really are 60C then the HS will most likely be cool since no heat is being transfered to it

I do that all the time (tough the h/s to see how things are doin), but with those reported temps i suggest one of those laser temp readers :D

If it's 60c, you'd feel it.
 
People yall are missing the idea... it is his CHIP that is reporting the 60C temp... the sensor doesn't report the temp of the heatsink... it reports the temp of the actual processor.

Since he has 60C temps this probably means that his heatsink is not making good contact with the processor (if much of any :(). As a result very little heat is transfered to it, and the heatsink would feel COOL not hot ;)
 
I didn't know the TJ08 came with the extra HDD cage on the bottom.
Is that standard or something you got afterwards?
