Skyrim Vs The Witcher 3

god dammit, now you sold me on Witcher 3 and now i bought it and download it now. you all are evil.

The Witcher 3 hands down better. I wanted to smack a guy at work today when he claims the remaster Skyrim was a better looking game. He played both on ps4 but still can't see it being better. I love the lore and characters of the Witcher. Skyrim was a boring turd to me.

I haven't plated a lot of W3 but right out of the gate I prefer Skyrim because you choose character and class, etc. In W3 you get a pre-made character and that is it.

Geralt can be built up with different skills/abilities, from favoring melee, to magic, to alchemy, to a mix, etc.

On top of this the choices you can make and the dialogue allow yo to play him different ways that have actual consequences for your actions, far more far reaching then anything you'll find in a TES game.

The only thing you can't change is Geralts look (except for his haircut).

Witcher 3 blew me away - once you get past the intro it just took off for me. I love gwent too - I travelled all over looking for people to play. Just so much to do in the game and often it really feels like you affect things.

But can you play as a Dark Elf? No.

But the story itself in Skyrim is largely unaffected by your choices as a whole, while playing as a Dark Elf has little meaning on the whole of the game either outside of some throw away dialogue here and there. Certainly no where near say, Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines levels of difference.

Geralt has the ability to change/alter the stories and how they play out so your choices have much more meaning behind them then you'll find in a TES game.
