Skull & Bones

I don't even know what this is supposed to be. And apparently it came out a while back. I watched a gameplay video, and aside from being confused at what genre it is supposed to be or what you're supposed to do for fun, it looked like utter shit.

Sounds like you understand it pretty well then :/. What we hoped it would be is the pirate stuff from AC4, but without at AC stuff. What it is is... well, a mess. No idea what Ubisoft was doing but this one is a hard pass.
 
Why do multiplayer game developers think they need a story? No one cares. Based off of the games I've played, what you do in game literally has nothing to do with the cut scenes which almost never make any sense.

I like the story. It gives it depth. Even for shooters or any type of game the story draws you in more and makes you more familiar with the characters. Generally making the game more likeable which in the long run creates a better relationship between you and the game play lol

For me and a ton of others engagement is a big deal and the deeper the lore the more engaged I could be. It's basically the secret sauce to a winning formula. Look at marvel or dc movies comics games It's all about the back stories literally would be worthless without the writing.
 
Man, $24 for a AAAA game within the same release year. Quality.
