You guys might find this interesting. Here's a couple of open-air storage "cases".

It looks like 8020 stuff, is that what you used?

It's crazy expensive, but you can find some good deals through eBay on it.
 
Hey Spotswood, I would like to see you actually build a system with that, hard drives and all and post pics, if it works out, I may want to do something similar.

Probably, the only things collecting appreciable dust on that rig are the components with fans.

My open-air SFF has no more dust on it than what's on the rest of my desk. :)
