I found a nice way to mount both my SSD and my card reader in one 3.5" drive bay. I only had to drill two holes and it was a beautiful fit:

I drilled out all the rivets and removed the drive bays from the case. Most of my storage is on my file server out in the garage. Removing the drive bays gives me a lot of room and nice airflow. The wiring is actually neater than shown in this pic.

Five fans (in the picture they are actually running -- around 600 - 800 RPM). At those RPMs the fans are so quiet I don't hear the computer at all.

One way I kept excess wiring from cluttering up the case was to route it around the back:

This is why case size was important to me. I can't see or hear this computer while I'm working. :)
If you look carefully, you can see it behind the right monitor. The P183 was so big it extended above and to the side of the monitor. The Solo case is completely hidden out of sight.
