We been on a 2.1 meg download connection since 2013 my parents sign up for Fiber last month they put up Fiber lines in our area few Months back.. Sometimes I wasted all day downloading when I could have been playing the game instead.

Our connection was so slow on ATT due to being on 1960s phones lines.

The guy should be here Wed to install a Router.
 
i ran into this prob when i was a teen still living at home. i got my own cable connection installed...
 
Going from 2.1 meg connection to 1 GB
I would have to stop my downloads just so my Dad could could surf. He would ask me if I'm downloading all the time then I would throttle my 2.1 meg download speed to like 1.2 or something. I plan on using my wifi adapter on my Motherboard instead of Cat 5 to the Router which never did me much good. Since the Walls were all phone lines.

This really takes away from having a lot of SSD space for games which I cherished since my speeds were so slow. I Like having many games installed anyway so I don't forget about them.

Yeah, even 10Mb would be a huge upgrade. 10 is the minimum most places (or is it 30 now?), even for DSL, and isn't too bad if the connection quality is good. You will be dumbfounded by 1Gb.

I haven’t had a 2 Mb line since like … high school? Middle school? 2 Mb was my first upgrade to broadband DSL from dial up. That is an absolutely massive upgrade you’re getting.
 
2mbit was fine when websites were small and designed to be fast loading. But today, good lord no.
