Mine and my sons
Looks like just the standard keyboard that comes shipped with Dell PCs these days.
ding ding ding =P
Nice setup! Can you tell me how you have that setup? Do you use 2 videocards and 4 DVI cables? I'm interested in doing the same setup as soon as the Dell 30" goes on sale again.
I run 3 gpu's, 2 of my toxic's are in CF for the 3007 and 1 toxic for the 2x2001fps
thanks for the compliment!
Damn, sweet setup
Until I find a silent IPS sRGB 24" monitor with HDMI input that sells in the US for under $700, this is my setup:
Front support: 3x pineapple cans
Back support: 2x 1.89L apple juice bottles
bottom support: 2x Glide floss (ensures that sound from the front speaker isn't muffled by the desk)
All supporting accessories available from Safeway.
PS: cross-posted to the "Ghetto Mod" thread, thanks to CLock3.
Dell S2409W supposedly comes pretty close to the true sRGB space...
I'd hope you are going to use something other then the laptop to drive it, otherwise not sure why you are being that specific? That laptop's graphic chipset isn't exactly stellar.
I'd go with two seperates, one for two and a single, you'll find the triples (or large doubles like I have) you start to lose some positioning as the monitors bump into each other, you'll gain more flexibility keeping them separate.
@CLock3: thanks, cross-posted.
@thepawn: I updated the post to say that I'm looking for a silent 24" IPS monitor that's not wide-gamut, and I'll power it with a data storage system I'm building. Anyway, you wouldn't believe how rare standard-gamut IPS monitors are. It looks like I'll go for a NEC LCD2490WUXi or LCD2490WUXi2.
how could anyone live with this setup?
id eat the pineapples.
i think the asymmetry in the stands would drive me crazy (even if I couldn't see it most of the time)
Or at least move the chunks of pineapple can to the middle for symmetry.
Understandable...how about three singles? lol.
That's some keen sense of observation. No comments on the Brain Toniq though, or the training knife blade in the center picture?
I like your mouse choice, loved my G7... only recently replaced it with a Mamba.
here's my latest
13" MBP + 2209WA, Spyder 3 pro calibration
Can you post some bigger pictures please? Got a 2209wa on order and I need a fix.
What is spyder 3 calibration like ?
Is it free or a paid app ?
BTW nice setup
Is that the newest Macbook ?
The Spyder 3 is not just software. I am about to get one...
Its a Samsung 2693hm 26"
Hmm,awesome white point on the 2209WA!
just moved in waiting for a new pc and some new speakers
finally painted the office and bought some furniture...
if only I knew how to take decent pictures!
sweet jesus. thats 3 30inch apple cinema. plus i bet a 8 core mac pro and another comptuer on the other side and a macbook pro 13 i tihnk.
if i may ask, what do you need 3 30 inch lcds for?
Does one even need a reason?
There is so much win in those pics.
yeah, thats a mac pro 8 core with 16gigs of ram
the laptop is a macbook pro 17"uni
the other is a gateway with dual dell screens, one 30" and another 24"
i need the space just to feel better when working. When you spend
a lot of hours in front of the computer ANYTHING to make it a pleasant experience
damn the tent in my pants is hitting my computer table....
Wired sucks, we can all agree on that. Also, what if the Mamba's battery doesn't last for an entire day? You'll have to plug it in.
I much prefer the Logitech G7, which comes with 2 batteries. One stays in the mouse, while the other one charges in the wireless receiver. When the mouse battery dies, you just switch it for the one charged in the receiver. Brilliant.
New set-up with:
- Hazro HZ24Wi
- Lian-Li PC-V1000 (i7 build)
- Ikea Galant desk
- Anglepoise lamp (Type 75)
- Bisley drawer unit
Need to go completely wireless next!!
Nice and clean
Here is my room full of LCD's, a projector, and my laptops (the tiny dell one is my work lappy). The cabling sucks but I still need a day off to fix it all up.
Main monitor: 3008wfp
Projector: Epson Home Cinema 1080p
XPS 1730 with 8800m GTX SLI 4GB ram, 160 and 500GB hard drives
HP Touchsmart TX2-1020US tablet
Dell D620 - Work laptop
Main Rig in signature below
nice setup the more LCD's the better!
Thanks. The room could use a little cleaning, and many people say I have too many laptops. I say you can never have enough!!
I charge my mamba overnight every night and the only times I've ever had it run out while using it is if I forgot to charge it for more then 2 daysovernight...making it temporarily wired is easy (it's a USB cable) and I've never had to use it more then an hour or so wired before I was done for the day and just put it on the charger again. The 2 times I've had to cable it in the 2 months I've owned it is far less then the battery swapping I was doing for my G7.... I was originally hesitant about the Mamba because of the battery, but I've been pleasantly surprised that its a non-issue.
