Hi guys,
Problems with NEC 2490wuxi again... This time round:

1) When i test the screen using black, i can see the bottom left with alittle reddish.. Is this normal?

2) Again using black color, I can see one area where there's a small red pink line on the screen (very small)? again is this normal?

3) When i tested the screen with white or red solid color. With white i can see one dot that turned blue!!!! and that same dot turn black when tested with red. Is this normal?

Should i call up NEC and try to get a replacement? Or i should just stay with this....

1) is normal.

Number 2) is good reason for return. Number 3) is good reason for return but not according to NEC, but number 2) should suffice. :)Good luck.

1) Photos help a lot. Does it look like this? http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1370026 Or are you talking about the reddish/purplish tint in the corners, that's totally normal.

2) That sounds wrong.

3) This is a dead red sub-pixel. I just RMAd a (brand-new) 2490 for one in the middle. The one I received has a dead blue at the top, but apparently that's about as good as it's going to get (my 3rd 2490)

Apparently LG really is having a tough time at making consistent panels...

xorbe: Thanks for that link. I'm going to have to check to see if the reddish hue I thought was backlight bleed in the lower left is actually lit subpixels. It comes and goes and sometimes seems to be gone altogether.

If it's lit subpixels I'll be looking into a replacement methinks :( If it's bleed, I have no other pixel issues so I think I would leave it alone from what I've seen here.
