I was just wondering if there was a way i could have a paramater in my game shortcuts that would set the level of AA/AF forced by my Catylyst drivers (ie. to run 2xAA in UT2K4 but to be Application Preference for Far Cry)?

In ati's drivers there is a profile option under the direct 3d tab. You could look there.

For nvidia there is a similar option. Although ive never used both so i cant give good directions on exactly how effective they are, or what they allow you to do.

as for each game, most allow you modify shortcuts with switches. So youll need to tweak each game individually.

yeah you can customize and save profiles for easy switching but even then you have to go all the way to the 3d section and change it everytime your going to change games.. and im lazy :p
if anyone knows a parameter for a hardware profile in a shortcut please let me know

There is a program that lets you do this with ATi cards. I think it's called RADTuner.

Radlinker is what you're looking for. There's a great tutorial over on the DriverHeaven forums, as well as download links.

The Omega versions of the Cat drivers include Radlinker automatically, if you're interested.
