Shocking: newegg pricing for core 2 duo chips

I agree (this is old news by the way), but of course even with newegg's more reasonable prices now they are the devil of all sins ;) to these forum'ers.

Did you know that when you spell newegg backwards you get Satan?

The fact that a letter gets capitalized is the scary part.

At least their prices seemed to have come down since yesterday (since the last outraged over the prices thread was closed anyway)... :p

So where can I find e6600 chepest??? most of the websites sell em @ 359.99

vlad you are going to have to take what you can get in pricing if you want one for the next 4-6 weeks. If you find a 6600 right now just buy it or wait for more stores to have them in stock all of the time and the price will start to come down to more normal prices.

I would wait anyway for more motherboards to hit the market. Choice is a good thing.

atleast newegg droped the prices on the 6400 other day they had a HUGE market up on, must have been some big errors

Nice they are dropping some, but I personally can't blame them much. Supplies are short, demand is high, they are in business to make money not to be our heroes. If you have to be the first on your block with the new goodies, then you have to pay to play.

Thanks, that was the funniest thing I've read all day. :D

QFT... When "hot" items first come out you have to pay to be one of the few who own said piece. Hell... I remember paying $800+ for 2 of the 36gb raptors literally the DAY that they came out because I had to have them. I knew I was overpaying... but that was the only place that had them in stock and could get them to me the next day. Those were the hot things at the time... as is conroe now. 50% markup from cost is NOT that amazing... people need to get over it and either pay the cost to have it before the other guy or be content with being that other guy and waiting till prices come down.

Actually the funny thing now is if you're getting a ds3 and an e6300, its actually cheaper to buy them as a combo pair from newegg by like $10-20 depending on the other places you were looking at.
