SevenTeam 500W power supply review (same as XG 600W unit)

Are there any other external power supplies on the market, this is the first one I've heard of. Also as always, great review :)

Nice review. BTW, dont power up the PSU with the lid off and touch the two 'sinks at the same time. There's a bit of a voltage differential between the two sides so you'll get a tingle with dry hands and likely a good zap with wet hands.

That's true w/ almost any PSU. There's a reason why they're on separate heatsinks. ;)

Once again, the Seventeam ST-500EAZ took the load like a champ.

Hardware review, or hardcore porn review?

Really, I'm getting quite a bit out of your site. Excellent work my friend.
One niggling thing. Usually the top banner-masthead-whatever leads back to the site's mainpage.

*sigh*

Usually webmasters get paid too. :D

Thanks for the props. ;)

Nice power supply, nice review.

Wouldn't it be great to have a standard for external power supply connectors, and be able to buy a faceplate depending on what type of form factor your computer requires? No more replacing power supplies, just faceplates and internal cables.

One can dream :)

I still like it. I'm going to upload pictures of it mounted in my case today.

If anyone would be so kind as to let the [H]ard|Staff know it's up, I'd appreciate it. I feel sort of arrogant pimping my review to a site. ;)

The Silverstone ST56ZF review should be up tonight. :)

give us a heads up when you have the installed pics ready. I'm interested in seeing how it looks.

Just got it bolted in. Taking pics now.

I added the pics of the case on the end of the third page.

Congrats on the front page.

Power Supply Roundup

For those of you who may want or need more juice to push that rig to the limits, JonnyGuru has a couple of solutions you can take a look at. First off is the Silverstone ST56ZF 560W. If you don’t mind the idea of a massive external box, then take a peak at the SevenTeam ST-500EAZ External Power Supply.

It's not very often I get to review a truly "novel" power supply unit. But this weekend I'm taking a look at an external power supply unit from the folks over at SevenTeam Electronics.

I'm in LA now. I might work on it on the plane.

Pimpin, LA.

Take LOTS of pictures of taiwan. Especially the secret behind-closed-doors bits.
