Hey guys so I have a gigabyte e45-ud3p and an intel q6600 quad SLACR. I need some help with overclocking on the unit. I am on Phase change for the CPU cooling wise. With 2 spot cools over the NB and the RAM. I have a bench table, so everything is open air cooling also. I posted in the gigabyte thread but its so busy i dont know if many people see my questions

My Questions:

What are the safe voltage areas for my particular setup? Am I safe where I am at now? Can i go higher in some areas?(See Log of Settings)

What are some settings I can try for my memory. I dont quite understand the ratios anymore and Im not sure if the few attempts ive had BSOD because ive set memory to high or something. I have GSKILL F2-8500CL5D-4GBPI PC2-8500 5-5-5-15 2.1.

Is there anything you can see in my settings that I should change?

Intel Absolute max Vcore is 1.55 volts. (50mV spec for voltage overshoot by voltage regulation circurity leaves an effective max of 1.50).

Wait just a darn minute, you are running phase change on a bench and do not know to go to Intel.com and pull the data sheets for your cpu and chipset and find the electrical sections for maximum voltages ? Get out of here ! :eek:

And go find it yourself. :p


Hint your MCH core is going to be way over I think.
